Case study · product we run

Loci: the operating system for beauty brands.

Loci is a booking and operations platform for salons with more than one location. Odin Official designed it, built it, and runs it, and it is live with paying salon franchise clients. It is the clearest proof of what we ship: if it breaks, we are the ones who get the call.

What problem does Loci solve?

The big booking platforms sell one shape of salon and refuse the customisation a franchise with several locations needs. Loci gives each location its own calendar, staff, services and checkout while the owner sees the whole business in one place: memberships, gift cards, loyalty, marketing and reports across every door.

What did we build?

  • Calendar and booking for walk-ins, online bookings and an embeddable widget for each salon's own site.
  • Checkout with card-present payments on Stripe Terminal, tips, memberships, gift cards and loyalty points.
  • Staff scheduling, commissions and permissions per role and per location.
  • Client records with intake forms, SMS and email reminders through Twilio and Resend, and a passwordless client portal.
  • Fourteen AI features, from drafting replies to summarising a client's history before an appointment.
  • Reports and payouts for owners, built on Stripe Connect.

What is it built with?

Next.js and TypeScript on Vercel, Prisma on Postgres, Stripe Connect and Terminal for money, Twilio and Resend for messages, and Anthropic models for the AI features. 138 routes, 390 API handlers and 108 data models as of October 2026, with Vitest and Playwright test suites.

What does running it teach our clients?

Everything we promise a client, we live with on Loci: monitoring, backups, security updates, and a bill that arrives every month whether or not anything broke. The hosting plans on the websites page are the same practices, priced for a single site.
